Once there was a king. Whenever he went to the temple, two beggars used to sit on his left and right.

The one on the right would say- 'O God, you have given a lot to the king, give me something too!' Then the one on the left would say- 'O King! God has given you a lot, give me something too!' The beggar on the right would say to the one on the left- Ask God, he listens to everyone. The one on the left would reply- 'Shut up you fool.

One day the king called his minister and said that the beggar who sits on the right side of the temple always asks from God and God will surely listen to him. But the one who sits on the left side always asks from me, so you do this, fill a big vessel with kheer and put a gold coin in it.

Put it in the pot and give it to him. The minister did the same. Now that beggar, while happily eating kheer, teased the other beggar and said-'huh, when the big one is there God will give it', see you asked the king, did you get it?' While eating, his stomach got full so he gave the vessel of remaining kheer to the other beggar and said-'take it, you also eat it, fool' One day when the king came, he saw that the beggar on his left had become very hungry.

The beggar next to him is also sitting in the same way but the one on his right is missing. The king was surprised and asked him- 'Did you not get the vessel full of kheer?' Beggar- 'Yes, I got it, Sir, what a delicious kheer it was, I ate it to my heart's content!' King- 'Then?' Beggar- 'Then when I was full, I gave it to the other beggar who sits here and said- 'The fool always keeps saying 'God will provide, God will provide', take it and eat it!' The king said smiling- 'Of course, God has given it to him!'
